She was born in 1990 in Istanbul. After completing Beşiktaş Sakıp Sabancı Anatolian High School, she started her undergraduate education at Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2008 and completed her education in 2013.She worked at Private Dentistanbul Levent Polyclinic between 2013-2014 and at Private Naturadent Dental Polyclinic between 2014-2015.In 2016, she started her specialization training at Marmara University Faculty ofDentistry, Department of Periodontology, as the 76th in Turkey in the Dentistry SpecializationExamination (DUS). During her post-graduated training she contributed studies aboutMultidisciplinary Treatment Approach in Teeth with Endo-Perio Lesion Diagnosed with DensInvaginatus, Periodontal Augmentation in the Treatment of Pyogenic Granuloma, Periodontal Approach in the Treatment of Peripheral Ossifying Fibroma, Multidisciplinary treatment approach in cervical crown fractures, Regenerative treatment technique in the treatment of Localized Aggressive Periodontitis, Piezo Surgery assisted sinus lifting and simultaneous implant palcement.

In 2019 she presented her thesis about “Cytotoxicity and Adhesion Protein Expression effects of different composite materials on Human Gingival and Periodontal Ligament Fibroblast Cell Lines : An InVitro Study”. This study was published as an article in the SCI international journal ‘Biomedicine’ in 2020. 

She is a member of TDB (Turkish Dental Association), TPD (Turkish PeriodontologyAssociation), EFP (European Periodontology Association). She has the International Application Certificate of the Vestiyer Academy regarding Botox applications. She continues her clinical studies about conservative and surgical treatments of gingival diseases and implant surgery at IDEA Dental Clinic, where she is co-founder.

Specialist Periodontologist Gamze Kavuncu

He graduated from the Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry with the title of dentist in 2014 and finished his postgraduate specialist education in 2019 where he received the title of prosthodontist. In 2021, they have founded Idea Dental Clinic with his partners.

After finishing the dental school, he worked in a family private practice where he had his first experiences. He worked in a well-known Dental Hospital for more than 4 years where he had many foreign patients that came for health tourism. He can speak English and German fluently.

He loves to study and he spends lots of time on trainings and courses to provide his patients the best quality treatment possible. He has done scientific studies during his residency and also wrote articles for international scientific journals. He was an observer at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich for a period in 2015.

His favorite hobby and passion are dental lab work. In the clinic, he mostly deals with conservative and restorative treatments with digital protocols on a daily basis. He is generally described as gentle and kind by his patients during treatment.

He also loves nature and workout. He also enjoys travelling abroad. He has a lovely wife who is also a dentist and he is a father of a daughter.

He is a member of TDB (Turkish Dental Association), TPD (Turkish Prosthodontics and Implantology Association).

In 2015, he was accepted to the phd program of the department of prosthetic dentistry of the university he graduated from. He continues his studies both academically and a clinically. He is a member of Turkish Dentists Association, Istanbul Chamber of Dentists, Turkish Prosthodontics and Implantology Association, Prosthesis Academy and Gnatology Association. His areas of interest are aesthetic dentistry, botox and temporomandibular joint treatment.
